Some Useful Knowledges about LED Drivers

There is no doubt that you have heard of PWM Led driver or Rgb Led Controller  Speaking of LED driver (Led Driver ), it is a kind of electronic devices which can adjust power. And it is used to make LED module assembly work normally or driven LED luminous. 

What's more, it is decided by the LEDPN junction conduction characteristics, as a result, it can adapt to the narrow variation range of supply voltage and current. That is to say that only slightly deviatation might not be able to light up the LED or might severely reduce the light emitting efficiency. And the serious problem is that it may shorten the service life and even burn the chip. As a result, the current frequency power or current common battery power supply is not suitable to directly supply power for LED.  So we can draw a conclusion that  LED drive is the electronic component, which can drive LED to work in the best voltage or current condition.

Speaking of the classification of LED driver, in nowadays, the current LED driver IC can be divided into constant pressure drive chip and constant current  driving chip and pulsed driving chip according to different types of Led drivers. 

Speaking of the constant pressure drive chip, it is mainly the general DC/DC boost chip that we common see. The point is that it only can drive LED by constant voltage, which will cause output circuit current in the state of uncontrollable. As a result, it cannot guarantee the consistency of brightness for LED. On the other hand, the advantages of this program is that not only it is cheap, but also it is with no complex peripheral circuit.

In contrast, compared with constant voltage drive, the constant current driving chip is the solution to the uncontrollable problem for current which constant voltage drive can not resolve before. But speaking of the price of this kind of chip,it is much more expensive than that of constant voltage chip. What's more, it is with complex peripheral circuit. At the same time, because of the constant output current, the whole chip can discharge faster when it has the battery as the power supply. In addition, a better constant current chip can achieve constant current accuracy of around 1%. What's more, it has a simple peripheral control interface, which can flexibly set the desired output current size. That is why it is so popular. 

In nowerdays, pulse driving chip with high frequency pulse generator output interface is eays to provide power supply to the LED lamp. That is because the pulse signal frequency is very high, our human eyes cannot feel Led Rgb Controller . What's more, it can effectively saves the electric energy output, and on the one hand this way is in line with the visual needs. That is for sure.
